Prescriptions
Please follow the guidelines and choose the right option for you.
Please allow us 48 hours (two working days), to process your prescription request.
We do not accept repeat prescription requests over the phone.
New Clinical System Announcement
The practice will be switching to a new clinical system between the dates of 18th of February 2026 and 28th February 2026. If your repeat medication is due during this time, we ask that you put your request in week commencing 9th February 2026. If you do have enough medication to last you, please order after 1st March 2026.
Please note we will not be able to access your notes and issue routine repeat medication during this downtime.
Ahead of the system downtime we will be issuing double prescriptions one of which being post-dated for February 2026 to eligible patients in the month of January 2026.

Your pharmacy can also order your medication on your behalf. This saves you time and unnecessary visits to the Practice. Please contact the Pharmacy of your choice for more information if you wish to use this service.
About pharmacists
As qualified healthcare professionals, pharmacists can offer advice on minor illnesses such as:
- coughs
- colds
- sore throats
- tummy trouble
- aches and pains
They can also advise on medicine that you can buy without a prescription.
By Post
To order please use the repeat order form found on the right hand side of your prescription, marking clearly all the items you need with a tick.
Please only order what you require and place the request either in the box at the entrance to the surgery or at the local pharmacies, or you may post it to us enclosing an SAE.
Acute prescription requests
On occasions, you may wish to order medication you have been given recently but is not on your repeat order form.
This you may do by completing an acute prescription request form.
Please allow 48 hours for any request to be processed. In some cases the doctor may decide not to deal with your request because they may wish to see you for a review rather than issue a prescription.
Medication Queries
Please get in touch with the surgery to raise a query about your medication.
Medication Reviews
Try to organise your request to once a month. It is important that your treatment is monitored regularly, so please look out for any reminders on your prescription alerting you to the need to make an appointment with the doctor: for example, a medication review etc.
Antibiotics
These are very useful drugs for treating infections spread by bacteria but they are of no use on the many conditions caused by viruses eg cold and flu, most tummy upsets and sore throats. Excess use leads to resistant germs and they can induce serious side-effects. Your doctor will decide when to use them.
